Waymo’s entirely driverless vehicles are executing passenger outings in the suburbs outside Phoenix, Arizona. We bought to experience it to start with hand, and our experience provided a close brush with a building web page, a incorrect switch, and a flock of pigeons. But far more importantly, it got us thinking about what it indicates when Waymo suggests the foreseeable future is driverless, and what we reduce when we eliminate human driving.
